AC-47 "Spooky" for CFS2. By shieldsy
Stock C-47, repainted and equipped with three 7.62 mini guns.

Installation: Drop the AC-47 folder into your AIRCRAFT folder.

The panel is from G.Vinet, modified for CFS by Roger Lowery. I couldn't locate the download site where I got this panel, so I don't know for sure if all the gauges are stock. If you have any problems with it, just remove the contents of the panel folder (not the panel folder itself). There are two or three top notch panels available but they are very large files.

The props are ghostpony's newest.

The sound is aliased to the zero. The best C-47 sounds I could find are included in the FS2000 C-47 MATS available at SurClaro (c47fsdv2.zip). This is a large download but it is mostly texture and readme. The sound file is only 2.92 megs and it's first rate. Just remove the sound file from the AC-47 folder and copy and paste the MATS sound folder to replace it. The other C-47 sounds at SurClaro aren't that great (no start up and shut down).

The airfile is a slightly modified version of one by Chuck Dome. You can use the MATS airfile by renaming it AC-47 and dropping it in.

The dp was made with DPED. I couldn't figure out how to get an add on gun barrel to stick out at a 90 degree angle so I painted the gun muzzles into the windows. If someone would like to make a dp with gun barrels, be my guest!

With a stock aircraft the fuselage and wing surfaces are mirrored. I can't stand backwards numbers and letters, so I used A's, 1's and 8's.

The tracers shoot out of the proper place when the plane is stationary but tend to wander forward as the aircraft gains speed. You don't really notice from the cockpit 90 degree view.

Targeting out the window takes practice. Tip: when viewing to the left, press F11. This should bring up a screen with a front view. It helps to avoid crashing!

These files are freeware and to be used only as such. Use at your own risk.

Enough already!!!!

Hope you enjoy the old gal.
